I've been studying English for three years. During these years I greatly improved mi speaking, reading and listening skills.
At first, it was very hard for me listening to the radio and watching on TV English speaking programs. I had serious difficulties reading English tests as well.
During this period of time, fortunately, all these problems got less and less difficult.
After reading only school books, I decided to read, or perhaps to try to read, an English Novel.
It happened so that, five months ago, I bought my first English novel, entitled: "The road". This book was turned into a movie as well. I've already read the first sixty pages, but in my opinion, it isn’t so easy as I was told. Anyway, when I have time I'll keep on reading it.
In order to improve my speaking skills, I've been meeting an American teacher, for about one year. We've been working hard so far, but I feel we’ll still have a lot of work to do.
At the same time, every other week, I manage to meet my former English teacher, an Australian guy. He’s helping me improving my English, while I’m giving him consultancy pertaining the Italian tax system.
As far as listening is concerned I’ve been listening to the BBC podcasts for about one year and now I can understand them quite easily.
I’ve never been writing anything in English of my own and this is the very first page. I do hope it isn’t too bad.
